Give your Vertec the right spice

What if business software were as easy to fine-tune as a good meal?
Software doesn’t have to be complicated to fit exactly. It just has to offer the right options to fine-tune it. This is exactly where Vertec’s additional features come in.

The spice cabinet for your processes

Vertec already offers a comprehensive range of functions as standard and can be specifically adapted to individual requirements via customizing.

Our “spice shelf” makes things even faster and easier: Instead of developing features from scratch, ready-made additional features are available. These field-tested enhancements already cover typical requirements and can be integrated into the system with just a few clicks – for example, for dunning, release processes, root folders or additional structures for a better overview. Specific Examples:

Popular additional features for lawyers

Popular additional features for consultants

Popular additional features for engineers

Popular additional features for fiduciaries

Popular additional features for IT service providers and software vendors

And the spice cabinet is constantly growing: New Additional features are added all the time, expanding the possibilities of adapting Vertec even more specifically to your requirements.

Refining instead of re-cooking

The classic way of individual development is time-consuming: recording requirements, creating a concept, implementing, testing, training. Week, sometimes months. This software solution is exactly the standard with most software solutions. However, with Vertec and its additional functions, it makes additional features fundamentally different.

The basic structure is already there. You import, check, adjust. What otherwise takes weeks is often productive in minutes. At the same time, you benefit from an rate that is already used and proven by many other Vertec customers.

This not only saves time, but also costs. The features are already developed, tested and can be used free of charge. This eliminates the hours spent for in-house development, and companies can find a suitable solution faster.

How to reach into the closet

Getting to the additional features is easy: We regularly make new additional features available for download on our Knowledge Base – our daily “handbook”. With just a few clicks, you can integrate them into your test environment, try them out, and adapt them if necessary – with no development effort. Whether you are running Vertec as an on-premises installation or on a cloud subscription, it does not matter whether you are running Cloud Suite Vertec as an on-premises installation or on a cloud subscription. Depending on the add-on, they either add additional features to existing basic features or add a completely new feature. In any case: a free added value.

First taste, then serve

New features can first be tried out in a test environment. This allows you to check whether everything fits with your processes, make adjustments and evaluate the interaction with existing structures. Only when everything fits, do you apply the enhancement into your productive system.

Because additional features can interfere deeply with the system, it is advisable to test them first in a test system. Only when everything is right do you apply the enhancement into your production system. Or, to stay in the picture: try first, then serve – otherwise the soup will end up getting salty faster than you would like.

Taste at your own pace

As with cooking, taste is individual. Therefore, additional features can not only be imported, but can also be flexibly adapted:

  1. Expand structures
  2. Fill in fields
  3. Fine-tune processes

The difference to classic customizing is that you do not start from scratch, but on a solid basis. This reduces design effort, speeds up implementation and still leaves enough scope for what your company really needs.

Seamlessly integrated

An often underestimated point: Import additional features behave the same way as individually developed customizations. They are a complete part of your Vertec. Include familiar navigation, permission concept and database.

Conclusion: The right balance

Good software don’t have to be complicated to be flexible. Additional features strike a balance between standard and individuality: a strong foundation that can be refined as needed. In
other words, you don’t have to reinvent your software. You just give it the right spice.

In the webinar of March 19, 2026, we demonstrated in a practical role-playing game how quickly and easily additional features can be imported into Vertec. You can watch the full webinar again here:
