That was before my time at Wichser Akustik und Bauphysik AG. Back then, the old software was no longer maintained or further developed, and they decided to go for Vertec.
I believe that this is above all the fact that the customer is always taken into account. Almost everything can be set up individually. So there is no basic setting that the customer is forced to adopt, but we, as the customer, say that we want it to be – and that is exactly how it is programmed. And that is, of course, the be-all and end-all.
Clearly in time and expense recording as well as in reporting and invoicing – in other words in the entire project administration. This is extremely important to us, and we do everything through Vertec.
I think the most important thing is that you first really think about what exactly you want from the system. Because once something is programmed incorrectly, it is very difficult to undo it and then set it up the way you want it to be.
The best thing I really have to say is that you have a fixed contact person. I have Reto Hofer, who I can contact directly by email at any time. We certainly have contact once a week, and he adjusts everything the way I want, because he knows me, knows our company and knows how we want it.
For my current employer, I cannot answer that. But I used to work with Vertec at my previous employer, and we’d already done it there. Invoicing used to take at least seven minutes, if you add everything up, to get an invoice done – with all the supplements and the attached hourly reports. With Vertec, it’s a matter of two minutes, and then: click.
