, Mr. Hauptlorenz, since he had been known to us since 2013 when our CRM system Julitec was implementation.
At that time, however, the use of Vertec was not possible, as 95% of our orders are billed according to HOAI. It was only when Vertec released the additional feature add-on in 2021 that Mr. Hauptlorenz approached us to explain the capabilities of the software. We saw the opportunity to achieve our goal of a unified CRM and ERP solution by introducing Vertec. Therefore, as a first step, Mr. Hauptlorenz proposed an implementation project with all the data from our CRM system and the intensive tests of the HOAI functionality of Vertec.
With appGenerics’ julitecMigrator, migrating our data from Julitec was quick and easy. We have applied over 900,000 history entries/documents and almost 30,000 addresses from Julitec, which we can now access comfortably from Vertec. This project showed in the tests that the very complex functionalities that we have to map in-house as part of the HOAI contracts additional featured the functionality of the additional function. However, after we were able to solve these problems with the very adaptable software Vertec and the excellent program knowledge of Mr. Hauptlorenz, we decided to rely on Vertec in the future.
All the wishes and specifications that emerged during the implementation project resulted in a detailed implementation concept. The cost and schedule estimates were within acceptable limits. As a result, in January 2022, we were able to make the decision for Vertec and order the software including data transfer and adaptation programming.
Our goal was to set the GoLive date before July 30, 2022, as our ERP software had been discontinued at that time. Through regular coordination appointments by teams and the detailed implementation of customer requirements, we were able to reach the jointly defined interim dates precisely.
A particular challenge for Mr. Hauptlorenz was the transfer of data from our existing ERP system. The description of the database for this was only rudimentary, so that the connections had to be painstakingly explored and developed in cooperation between our computer and Mr. Hauptlorenz.
However, we were also able to complete the much more complex transfer of the data from our old ERP system into the new Vertec HOAI additional feature within the predefined time frame. Our tests, which were running time and time again with the additional functionalities already implemented and, of course, more and more completed data, were always able to run well in advance to meet our set deadline. We commissioned the system for all our employees on July 1, 2022.
The following Monday, we started both working time tracking and project time tracking for all employees in Vertec. The first invoice from Vertec was also sent that day. The first offer was then created the following Tuesday.
In the months that followed, we have still made minor adjustments and improvements, but we can honestly confirm that the changeover went as planned. The cost framework was only slightly exceeded by a few additional customer requests.
At this point, we can only thank Mr. Hauptlorenz most sincerely for the competent, timely and cost-effective migration.”
