How Resource Planning Works Resource Planning on Projects
Basic settings
In the system settings, you define key parameters such as the planning basis (project or project phases) and the planning interval (day, week or month).
View options & user guidance
You can switch between different views:
Timesheet: For direct input and editing of budgeted values. You add projectsprojects phases or editors. Budgeted values continue linearly or can be defined manually. Overbooking is recognizable and an important indicator of bottlenecks.
Pivottable: Visualize budgeted values in matrix form – can be combined as a mirrored view for more flexible inputs.
Capacity graph: Graphical representation with focus on available capacity vs. utilization, already attributable to attendance.
Utilization chart: Stacked bars use budgeted values and supplement them with gross, net and (optionally) adjusted net capacity for visual analysis.
Sum tables (read-only): Provide an overview of aggregated budget values, such as at team levels.
Access rights
The resource planning view appears only if you have user rights. Read-only cells are visible to users without permission, but cannot be edited. Graphic is shown only if at least read permission is available on the data.
Vertec offers extensive customization options to optimally implement your processes. Custom fields can be created and used for customer management, among other things.
If you update your customer history in Vertec, you can view it at any time. The history is filterable and is displayed either in an entire list or as a cluster of activities such as emails or phone calls. We call this the activity feed. Full-text search allows all authorized persons to search content stored in Vertec, including emails. With the Outlook AppOutlook App, you can see the activity feed of a contact directly in Outlook.
