Added value through BI measures

With basic and custom key measures in Vertec’s Business Intelligence module, you gain clear business insights into your company – be it project progress, budget performance, revenue or employee productivity.

• Well-founded control basis: Basic Key figures such as hours, fees or degree of completion show you the project status and budget utilization on an ongoing basis.
• Targeted analyses: Own key measures (calculated/tailor-made) enable individual benchmarks and KPI definitions, tailored to your business objectives.
• Increased efficiency: Accumulation and comparability (e.g. current total, monthly cut-offs) enable you to identify trends and control budget, resources and expenses.

How BI measures work

Basic key figures

Vertec provides a variety of operationally relevant standard metrics, such as:

• “Working time” and “Hoursinternal effort” for project activity measurement
• “Order intake” and “Order backlog” for revenue and budget tracking
• “Vacation balance,” “Overtime balance” and “Headcount” for personnel capacity management
• “Contribution margin” or “Hourly rate hourly ratechargeable for profitability analysis
• “Productivity” as the ratio between productive hours and total hours

Own measures

You can define your own measures, created from existing Kpi using simple formulas (addition, subtraction, division) or accumulation. These are not calculated by the standard generator, but are derived individually (e.g. degree of completion = actual effort / budget effort).

Visualization and benefits

Create clear BI views with clear designation, visual color mapping and tooltip help. Cut-off Kpi show month-end values, cumulative measures and series progressions – ideal for budget controlling, trend analysis and performance comparisons.
