Extended customer requirements or new constellations or change requests often lead to higher work load in larger projects and thus to subsequent budget adjustments. In order to maintain a holistic view of the project and to be able to quickly see in the review when exactly budget changes have occurred, the adjustment of these values need to be recorded in Vertec.
With Vertec, you can specify budget adjustments in one project phase. The change log shows the old and new value, a comment or remark, and the respective user. Alternatively, you can open another phase in the project, where you can record any additional time or performance which is over the previously defined budget.
In many companies, manual or semi-automated project management is still the standard. However, this is time-consuming and at the same time prone to errors. Quotation varies greatly according to company size, industry and field of activity. These are the three most common scenarios:

You can save individual texts and use them for quotation templates on a project phase for example. The offer is then linked to the project and/or the customer by default and can be called up from Vertec. The budget values are available for queries and evaluations in the system.
If the quotation object or individual phases/positions are set to “accepted,” the saved values are immediately displayed in the project management as the available budget.
Project status meetings are always time-consuming: extensive Excel spreadsheets need to be maintained, and project leaders have to update the figures before the deadline. Budget, recorded time and services, invoiced services, purchases, completion rates and personal assessment of a project are fixed components. But as soon as the project status meeting is over, the status report is already outdated again. The project status is constantly changing.
With Vertec, as a project management software, all involved employees always know the up-to-date status of a project. The most important KPIs such as TARGET/ACTUAL comparison of the budget, completion rate, completion status of individual tasks (activities), open task and third-party costs as well as resource availability are entered centrally.
In order to keep an eye on the margins, profitability, and completion date of a project, budget controlling and completion rate are critical factors. In Vertec, the completion rate of a project is ideally determined by comparing missing recorded time with the remaining available budget. For some projects, earned value analysis can be used to determine the value of the projects. This also allows for accrual of benefits for closing transactions.
In Vertec, you can also implement your individual project controlling and easily add special requirements. Tasks can be managed on a project-by-project basis and allocated to the responsible employees. With Vertec Resource Planning, you can also see the availability of staff and the current planning on the respective projects.
Many companies often use Excel for time and performance recording or other time tracking tools. Afterwards, this data is copied manually to Word for invoicing. Before invoicing, the back-office must obtain approval from the recorder or employee responsible for the performance delivered. After invoicing, it sends the invoice again for final approval. Often changes are made to texts or services entered.
Vertec helps you save a lot of time here. Approval procedures ensure that the correct services appear on the invoices and approval by the person responsible is granted. The services can be approved periodically and then blocked for further adjustments. Individually for each case or project, you can also implement any other approval procedures. You can, for example, approve individual services or grouped services on individual service lists. Once a month, the supervisor or responsible employee checks the services and releases them altogether for invoicing.
Your back-office or administration can see at a glance which services can be charged and which should remain open until the next billing cycle. By this approval procedure, fewer subsequent adjustments to invoices need to be made.
Also a plus: internal communication is reduced to a minimum.
With our free additional feature “SIA 108” you can calculate your engineering services in accordance with the SIA 108 fee schedule directly in Vertec. No customization of Vertec required.
After creating a project and selecting the SIA 108 template, the SIA phases with the percentage for the exemplary areas of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and plumbing are used, and an offer is automatically created on the project. The template can be selected in German or French and the examples of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and plumbing can be customized by us if necessary. After that, a construction object can be created directly.

The employee overview in Vertec gives you a quick overview.
This way, you can always keep an eye on the key values, such as the time tracking of all active employees and their overtime going along with that. Each employee also sees their own saved times in their personal folders in Vertec, so employees can easily avoid constant requests from the HR department for open vacation days or overtime. The following overview shows the most important information about your own employees and can be supplemented with additional parameters at any time.
In the employee evaluation, you get more information about the individual employees and can evaluate the total number of all employees quickly and easily. These evaluations can be output for all employees or for individual employees. The period and many other parameters can be easily adjusted to your individual needs. Who gets access to this information can be controlled via user permissions.
Test instances are created fully automatically via our Customer Portal. The trial period is 30 days and ends automatically. For technical reasons, it cannot be extended.
Alternatively, before the 30-day period expires, you can either renew it by purchasing at least one Vertec license or sign in again with a different email address. Purchase of a license will allow you to continue working with the database and URL used in the original trial period.
