BI Engineer KPIs

When you import this config set, the Controlling and BI root folder is created (unless it already exists via the config set Controlling and BI root folder). This contains the Engineer KPIs subfolder. On the projects, comparisons are drawn up between planned and actual fees and costs as well as planned and cumulated expenditure in hours from the resource planning. Furthermore, the key measures for the fees from the perspective of the projects and project managers as well as working time analyses of the users are available.

Note: The config set can also be used without resource planning. In this case, the values of the sales forecast are zero.

To access the folder, the users must be assigned to the Folder access Controlling and BI user group.

Application

The config set creates the subfolder Engineer KPIs in the Controlling and BI root folder with the following three subfolders: Project evaluation, Employee evaluation and Employee evaluation by team leader.

Project evaluation

In this folder, you can create comparative analyses between the planned and actual values from the budget.

1. Project budget

This view shows the measures of budgeted and cumulated fees and outlays from resource planning. Fee and outlays are calculated as follows:

• Via the project:
  If fees and outlays are budgeted via the project, then only the current entered values are taken into account.  
• Via the phase:
  If fees and outlays are budgeted via the project phases, it is possible to track changes on the budget. To do so, you must first select the option in the settings under project  Track budget value changes on phase. The measure is only taken into account in the evaluation when the start and end date are entered and the status is set to Quote or Completed.

Note: For the turnover forecast, the hourly rates of the employees are taken into account according the user assignment, according to the fixed rate on the project and according to the rate system.

2. Project budget services

This view shows the measures of actual hours worked and planned hours. Whereat, the planned hours taken from resource planning are shown in the following month.

3. Project budget distributed

This view shows only the planned and actual fees.

In the same folder, the measures interanl/external und open/charged fee are shown from the perspective of the project, project type and project manager and according to the chargeability of the projects.

Employee evaluation

By employees

In this folder, the history of Overtime balance, Standard hours and Working hours can be viewed on all active employees or on individuals. In addition, absences types of the kind Off and the standard hours default are shown. 

By default, only active employees are listed in this folder. To do so, switch to the default view. To also show the inactive employees, deselect the option Only active. This refreshes the view.

By team leader

In this folder, almost all key measures (except for overtime balance, which can only be shown over history) are shown as in the employee evaluation folder. These are shown in a bar chart and grouped by team leader. This allows individual teams to be compared. The values of the team leaders themselves are not included in this view. These, in turn, appear at the next superordinate team leader.
