BI turnover forecast from Resource Planning

How to use the BI Generator for turnover forecast and planning difference

This application is an additional feature. The corresponding config set can be found here.

Application

This config set implements the two BI measures  Planning difference and Turnover forecast from Resource Planning. Go to the System settings in the Resource Planning section, and set the Planning level option to Project and the Planning interval option to Month.

The planning difference represents the difference between the planned values in Resource Planning and the services actually entered. It provides information on how accurately the planning reflected reality, and how well the planning was adhered to on projects.

The turnover forecast does not represent planned hours as turnover, but creates a forecast of expected turnover based on budgets and phase start and end times, taking into account the hourly rates of users as follows:

  1. Rate set externally on the user allocation to the project.
  2. Fixed rate set externally on the project (Settings page).
  3. Rate set externally according to Rates table at project and user level.

Requirements and download

  • The modules Business Intelligence and Resource Planning must be licensed.

Before importing the config set, we recommend you read the article Key information about the additional features. Config sets modify data in Vertec, which can overwrite existing data.
