Vertec sharpens strategy with new dual CEO leadership

With a new CEO, the Vertec group is implementing its sharpened strategy. This follows the new vision “Business software, made for me”.
Stronger focus on market and customer needs, geographical expansion and a dual CEO: These are important cornerstones of our customer-centric strategy. To ensure the best possible implementation, we are expanding the corporate management and filling a second managing director position. The new dual management consists of the previous managing Director Claudio Pietra and the new CEO Volker Schwarzer, who transferred from Swisscom to Vertec on 1 June 2018.
As a result, we are putting the needs and experiences of our customers at the centre even more than before. The further continuous improvement of our core business is focused on the key requirements of successful service companies. Individual adaptability – a core element of Vertec’s business software – is consistently aligned with the modern working environment of our target group. A targeted expansion of quality at the highest level and innovative features will continue to increase Vertec’s maturity in the future. In this way, we continue to offer our customers the highest degree of future security.
Changing business models, digitization and increasing complexity are the order of the day for service providers. In order to continue to meet these market requirements, Vertec is creating the necessary management capacities.
Volker Schwarzer has been a member of Vertec’s Board of Directors for one year and brings more than 15 years of management experience from telecommunications companies in Germany and Switzerland. His valuable knowledge in the areas of project management and personnel management will help Vertec optimally position the company for the next phase of growth. Most recently, he was Senior Strategy Manager for Swisscom, initiating and supporting the digital transformation of internal and external (customer) processes. Volker Schwarzer was born in 1969 and lives with his family in the Zurich Oberland.
