As a standard CRM and ERP software, Vertec has the most important features that are required in the day-to-day work of the law firm. In addition, the software can be easily adapted to the individual requirements of a company. That is why Gütt Olk Feldhaus Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB chose Vertec instead of a classic law firm management system in their evaluation.
In a pre-project, our project leader took into account the wishes of the Munich-based law firm. The mapping of different rate levels per user/seniority, for example, as well as specific, automated tariff calculations were part of the requirements catalogue.
Depending on the case – i.e. the lawyer and the associated client and their assignment – it was intended to be possible to calculate individual hourly rates.
The complex mandate structure with its internal and external Role was another challenge. In particular, the user rights, who gets access to a case, when and how much, should be automatically created.
When opening a new case, the necessary organisational processes now take place independently. After the conflict assessment, Vertec displays client-specific checklists or the GWG assessment and deposits the right rates for the right lawyers. This means that
employees can fully focus on the client’s concerns and no longer have to worry about providing administrative framework conditions.

In addition to general evaluations, such as the billability of a case, our project leader in Vertec has developed specific evaluations at the mandate level, which can be shown graphically directly in Vertec using the Business Intelligence module.
A check function for days not entered in the time tracking helps to reliably enter the hours worked. The evaluations previously generated manually are now performed at the push of a button and can only be accessed by the authorized user.
The firm had already used iManage as a DMS before Vertec. By setting up an extension, these two tools are now linked and the cases are also automatically created in iManage and updated when changes are made.
