Webinar e-invoice
As of January 1, 2025, all companies in Germany must be able to receive and process e-invoices. As of January 1, 2027, companies with revenues of more than €800,000 in the previous year must also issue e-invoices. In this webinar, Hans Jakob Becker and Christian Bruns show how project- and mandate-oriented service providers are preparing for this with Vertec.
In the first part, you accompany the fictional Klarup AG during a meeting about e-invoices. The Vertec manager notes that the company is already sending ZUGFeRD invoices without knowing it. In the second part, the speakers, together with Mario Schneider from support, answer the questions from the chat.

The most important take-aways for creating an e-invoice
Don’t be afraid of e-invoice. Most adjustments concern root data, not functionality.
Data belongs in Vertec, not in the PDF. Information such as sender, IBAN or tax number often only appears as text on the invoice document. For the e-invoice, it must be deposited in Vertec. From there, it can be output in a machine-readable format and on documents (PDF).
Tax rate and tax category (UNCL5305) must be correct. Both are mandatory. If one of them is missing, the recipient rejects the invoice.
The ZUGFeRD e-invoicing standard will probably prevail. The format contains a human-readable PDF part and a machine-readable XML part. The XML file is the decisive factor for e-invoice.
- Visualize and validate files: A viewer (e.g. Quba) shows what is in the XML file. The validation checks whether the rules of the e-invoice are complied with. Check one sample invoice for each invoice type in advance.
For whom is this relevant?
The record is suitable for anyone who creates or is responsible for invoices in Vertec – from the back office to the CFO – and wants to know exactly what needs to be done for e-invoicing.
