Legal fee schedule Austria

Integrate the Legal fee schedule (RATG) into your processes.

RATG is the Austrian lawyers fee act and supports legal practitioners in their daily professional service types. Therefore, it is all the more important to implement these legal settings directly into the processes that you carry out with Vertec. This additional feature has been configured precisely for this requirement and offers direct access to RATG tariff positions in Vertec.

As this is Austrian legislation, only the EUR currency will be supported. Therefore, the project currency must be defined as the euro (EUR).

This is an additional feature. You find the corresponding config set here.

Prerequisites

Access to RATG tariff positions, legal texts and calculations is made possible via an API interface provided by Tarifrechner Plus. On the website, navigate to menu > Preis anfragen and enter a request for your use case. After conclusion of the contract, you will receive the API key to provide the RATG data in Vertec.

Enter the API key under System settings > Project in the Tarifrechnerplus API key field.

Now you can use the additional feature functionalities described below. If necessary, restart Vertec to reload the system setting.

Application

On the one hand, information on the tariff positions can be retrieved via the projects. On the other hand, the tariff positions can be assigned via the uncharged services, respectively via the service types created as such and also recorded in order to categorize the services. In addition, the tariff positions can be recalculated in case of changes to the key values (Amount in dispute, Represented parties and Counterparties) as long as no service has been charged.

RATG fee information

With this feature, you can show the information and tariff position value according to the input of the key values. To do this, select a project, navigate to the RATG-Information page, which is automatically created when importing and set the values for Amount in dispute, Represented parties and Counterparties. At least, the quantity in the fields Represented parties and Counterparties must be set. Now select the RATG fee information feature by right-clicking on the project or using the actions menu.

The first section of this window contains the information about the project, the preset key values, and the date and source of the RATG version. Under tariff positions, all the legal services are listed that fall under the nine tariff positions. You select a position and click Next.

In this window, you can enter more detailed information about the pre-selected tariff position. The fields to be filled in are marked with an asterisk. In addition, the key values Amount in dispute, Represented parties and Counterparties of the project are applied but can be changed before the calculation. Depending on the tariff position, there are more or fewer fields to complete. For abbreviated designations, hover over them to read the full designations.

Finally, this window shows the calculation. In case of adjustments, you can navigate back at any time and the tariff position will be recalculated. If everything is correct, close the window by clicking OK.

RATG Assign fee

Tariff positions can be assigned in two ways: by open services or by service types.

Via services

Create a service and execute the feature RATG Assign fee by right-clicking on the entry or via the actions menu. You can also use the RATG button in the list view to assign the fee in this way. The button turns blue after the tariff position has been assigned.

Then follow exactly the same steps as described in the section RATG fee information until you reach the window with the calculation. If the calculation suits you, then confirm with OK. After assigning, the amount in the field external fee is adjusted and in addition, all entered parameters of the tariff position are tracked in the service on the Further information page. Thus, the calculated tariff position can be traced.

Via service types

The service types can be used to categorise the services and can be considered as templates for entering services.

Create a service type under Settings > Projects > Service types. Execute the RATG Assign fee feature directly by right-clicking on the entry or by using the actions menu. Then you return to the same sequence as described in the section RATG fee information. By this way, the window with the calculation of the tariff position is omitted at the end, because the calculation and assigning is subsequently carried out in the service with the key values (Amount in dispute, Represented parties, Counterparties) of the project.

Follow the steps to the window with the detailed data entry. When all the necessary data has been entered, click Next. Then the code and text of the selected tariff position will be automatically entered into the service type. Likewise, all the parameters of the tariff position will be tracked here on the Further Information page.

When you create a service, select the service type. This will apply the tariff position with the calculated tariff value and all entered parameters accordingly.

Assigning by service types greatly simplifies the transfer of tariff positions into projects.

RATG Recalculate fee

If the key values for Amount in dispute, Represented parties or Counterparties subsequently change and services have already been created, the tariff positions can still be recalculated and the external fee will be adjusted accordingly. This feature can only be executed on open services.
