Updated: 30.11.2022 | 30 new additional classes and additional classes for additional functions from version 6.6.

Additional classes are normal User Entry and can be used accordingly. They can be stored in folders like projects or invoices and filtered via Expression folders. In addition, link types can be defined for them.

There are 50 such additional classes available in Vertec: AdditionalClass0 to Additionalclass49 (in versions before 6.6 to AdditionalClass29). These classes can be given names which appear in the title of the detail window and in the new menus. The configuration of the additional classes is done in the Class Settings.

Create additional classes

In the settings folder, click Neu > Klasseneinstellungen.

As the class name, write Zusatzklasse0 (or the additional class you want to define):

Fill in the remaining fields of the class settings as required, as descriptions in the article about the Class Settings.

Defining fields

Additional classes are used to create your own entries or to be able to summarize information. Therefore, custom field items can be defined on these additional classes. These are then shown on the additional class and can be filled with values and shown in the list view.

Create normal custom field items in the settings and specify the appropriate additional class as data types, e.g. Zusatzklasse0.

Define link type

To ensure that the additional class appears in the correct location, it is linked to the corresponding entry in Vertec via a Custom Link. At this entry, a tab with the name of the additional class appears as soon as a corresponding entry is available.

Create a new custom link type. On the one hand, specify the Vertec class to which you want to link the additional class as the class name. On the other hand, specify the additional class, e.g. Zusatzklasse0.

Example

As an example, you want to be able to entered Cv for the people in your address management.

  1. You give the additional class0 the name Eintrag Lebenslauf.
  2. You create custom field items: place of education, date from, date to and title. Under Class, enter Zusatzklasse0 .
  3. Create a custom link type and enter the following values:
    • From: Designation Lebenslauf, Class name Zusatzklasse0. Place a check mark under New Menu, so that you can create the corresponding entries later.
    • Until: designation Bearbeiter, class name Projektbearbeiter.

From now on, you can create a CV entry for each user via the New menu and fill in the corresponding values.

For the person who has such CV entries, a “CV” tab appears in which all entries in the list are shown.

List Settings

The list settings shown above are as follows:

  • Title: zusatzfeld('Titel')
  • from: zusatzfelddate('DatumVon')
  • to: zusatzfelddate('DatumBis')
  • Place of training: zusatzfeld('Ausbildungsort')

For a complete list of how to access custom field items via OCL, see the article Custom field items.

User rights

In order for the users to be able to create such entries for themselves, the following user rights must be set:

The first user right accepts the rights on the corresponding class, in our example on the additional class0. With the user right on the additional class, the user right for the custom field items on it is also accepted.

The second user right accepts the user rights to create CV entries. The field name for the user right corresponds to the designation of in the link type and can be selected directly from the drop-down menu.
