Services Timer

The service timer allows time tracking without manual input of times

How the services timer creates benefits

The Vertec service timer enables intuitive service entering within the performance overview. It ensures that employees can enter their services efficiently and transparently without having to enter times manually. This increases the speed, accuracy and business value of time tracking.

  • Increased efficiency: Time spent is entered to the second – no tedious manual addition.
  • Transparency: All time entries can be checked at any time in the attendance time list.
  • Customization: Customize the rounding logic according to your needs.

How the services timer works

1. Timer function in the performance overview

By default, Vertec displays the “Services” view on startup, where services can be entered either manually or via the built-in timer. With the help of the timer function, working hours can be started and stopped immediately – times are documented automatically.

2. Fast data entry

In the performance overview, you can work faster by switching between fields using the tab key without having to use the mouse. Quick project selection is done via project or activity code initials.

3. Start and stop timer

As soon as the timer is activated, Vertec records times – the icon symbolizes ongoing entering. Click on it stops the timer and the entered time is saved as a performance record.

4. Control via attendance list

All recorded times can be found in the attendance time list. This serves to check and trace the entries and provides an overview of hours worked.

5. Alternative input option: from–to and pause

In addition to the timer, it is also possible to enter services manually with start and end time plus optional break time.
