This feature implements the calculation of fees for engineering services according to SIA Standard 108
The feature “SIA 108” brings the SIA standard to your Vertec environment and supports engineering and planning offices in the calculation of fees according to mentioned Swiss standard. It guarantees a precise, traceable and standardized calculation of planner fees. Based on construction costs and defined SIA phases, budgets are automatically calculated and offers are created. This provides you with a legally secure and transparent basis for the remuneration of planner services in the field of construction.

The standard defines the life cycle of a building in six phases and twelve sub-phases. Per phase, services and fees are described. The additional feature provides an examplary implementation of these settings for use in Vertec.
In the menu “Actions” you can select a SIA template that is supplied. This automatically creates the SIA phases with percentages for HVAC, an offer and, if desired, a building object with object lines. By entering the amounts on object lines, the construction sum is calculated and parent phases between sub- and upper phases.
The fee budgets are calculated automatically on the basis of the following parameters:
Only subphases that are based on a valid offer with SIA data are automatically calculated.
In the folder “SIA Phases” the subphases with the detailed performance components can be found. The parent phases (1–6) are created in the folder “Phases" and assigned to the subphases. This structure allows a clear representation of the SIA performance model in the project.

New project or building object templates can be configured individually. You can define your own phases, subphases and object positions. By activating the checkbox “SIA Calculation” the corresponding fields for the calculation appear on the offer.

You create a new offer in Vertec on an existing project or a case. Firstly, you select the service types or project phases and assign them to the offer. Budgeting is done in the next step. A clear advantage: Project planning and creating of offers is directly connected, which saves you a lot of time throughout the process. Further information on creating an offer is provided on the relevant page.
Get an overview of all offers that have been sent. You can make this view globally visible to all users. This way, each and every employee of your company knows which offers are active and pending.
Extended customer requirements or new constellations or change requests often lead to higher work load in larger projects and thus to subsequent budget adjustments. In order to maintain a holistic view of the project and to be able to quickly see in the review when exactly budget changes have occurred, the adjustment of these values need to be recorded in Vertec.
With Vertec, you can specify budget adjustments in one project phase. The change log shows the old and new value, a comment or remark, and the respective user. Alternatively, you can open another phase in the project, where you can record any additional time or performance which is over the previously defined budget.
