New LinkedIn type with Vertec 6.8.
Under Settings > CRM > Communication channels, you can customize the list of communication channel types available for address management.
Defining own types
The communication channel types shown above are already predefined. You can enter other types of communication channels as required.
| Designation | Name of the new communication channel. This then appears in the drop-down list. |
| Sorting | Specifies the order in which the types appear in the drop-down list. |
| Internal type | Makes it easy to distinquish between the types in the system. The internal type consists of one letter, which must be unique. |
If, for self-defined types, you want to set a default or execute one of the actions (e.g. Send email) on the communication channels, the internal type must match one of the internal types specified by Vertec (T, M, F, E, H, L).
If there are several communication channels with the same internal type, they "share" the default mechanism and the actions can be executed as described.
