The user rights system in Vertec offers maximum flexibility, with clear rules for combining user rights. These are assigned via user groups and can be defined down to field level. Individual rights for readability, editing or report and script execution can be controlled in a targeted manner and flexibly combined.

How it works
Types of user rights
There are different types of user rights in Vertec:
- Readability: Access to data
- Execution: Start reports and scripts
- Editability: Enter, edit and delete data
User rights are set using user groups to which users are assigned. Rights set apply system-wide. User rights can be assigned to entire classes or to individual fields. Permission is granted by default, restrictions can be set to “deny”.
Built-in and simple rights
- Built-in rights: Pre-defined (e.g. project manager right, address administrator), non-denialable
- Simple rights: Individually configurable, e.g. access to specific fields or objects
Object permissions
- In addition to global user rights, rights can be restricted to individual objects such as projects or addresses
- User rights can also be linked to OCL expressions so that, for example, only the supervising employee gets write permissions for an address
User groups
- User rights are organized via user groups
- These additionally define which folders a user sees and also contain settings such as standard working hours
- Super users (right level “super”) have unrestricted access rights
