Mapping organizational structures

In CRM, companies and contacts as well as their relationships (e.g. parent/subsidiary companies) are mapped, while in project management project types are used to represent internal organizational structures such as departments, locations or branches. A project is assigned to an internal entity via the project type, while the customer always remains the respective entity. This creates a clear separation between internal organizational representation (project type) and external customer assignment.
