Vertec Tech Insights

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, our online event “Vertec Tech Insights” took place, which we organized together with Martin Fricker from our sales partner Lean Business AG and Michel Wipf from Spektra Netcom AG. We are pleased that many attendees took the opportunity to learn more about the technical capabilities of Vertec.

During the one-hour session, our Vertec experts answered key technical questions about Vertec.  

Agenda

• Vertec’s operating modes: On Premises vs. Vertec Cloud Suite  – Urs Berli presented the application landscape of Vertec and gave insights on the respective operating modes.
• The Vertec Cloud Suite: Very popular amongst new customers: 4 out of 5 choose our cloud subscription. How it works, what it includes and why it is so popular, Urs Berli explained in the online session.
• Vertec and document management systems: Martin Fricker explained different variants and corresponding interfaces as well as their advantages and disadvantages. He demonstrated these using concrete examples in Vertec.
• Installing and updating Vertec: Michel Wipf presented the successor solution for on-premises installations and explained the key details for commissioning, costs, security and migration procedures, as well as important information on the Firebird and SQL databases.
• Ways to increase security: Michel Wipf then outlined the security features Vertec offers, including Microsoft’s OpenID, two-factor authentication and other measures.
