How this feature creates benefits

With this additional feature, you can analyze the amount of your active sales opportunities directly in Vertec and make your pipeline planable and controllable. The feature provides predefined BI measures and views that classify opportunities by time and compress them by salesperson or customer. By weighting by probability of closing, you get realistic forecasts and focus your sales on the most effective deals. The data is automatically recalculated and is consistently available in controlling and sales. This allows you to make decisions based on reliable, comparable measures.

How it works

Functionality and fields of application

The additional feature provides BI measures and BI views that you can use to evaluate active opportunities. Only opportunities with a planned closing date and a maintained customer or project are considered. In addition to an overall overview, condensed views by salesperson and customer are available; optionally, the weighted amount is shown based on the maintained probability per opportunity. This allows you to assess pipeline quality, forecast accuracy and individual sales performance.

Calculation and updating of data

The recalculation of the BI data takes place either automatically via a scheduled task (e.g. overnight) or can be initiated manually. This means that you always have up-to-date key current measures for evaluations in the folders Sales and Control controlling BI folders.

Active Opportunities
  • Shows all active opportunities with planned completion and associated customer/project over time.
  • Usage: Overview of pipeline size and timing of expected closures.
Active opportunities by salesperson
  • Aggregation per responsible salesperson.
  • The “weighted amount” view considers the probability of closing for realistic forecasts.
  • Use: Assessment of individual sales performance and capacity focus.
Active opportunities by customer
  • Aggregation per customer.
  • “Weighted amount” view for prioritized customer processing and account planning.
  • Use: Identification of strategically important customers and expected revenue contributions.
Available BI measures
  • Opportunities amount: Sum of the amounts of active opportunities.
  • Opportunity weighted amount: sum of the amounts considering the probability of closing.
