How notifications create benefits

The feature helps you not to miss important appointments or tasks in Vertec. Responsible people receive automatic alerts as soon as an activity is due – this provides a better overview and structure in your daily work.

If the person in charge changes, the reminder notification is inherited to the successive person in charge, while the previous person will be removed. This ensures everyone involved is always informed and that responsibilities are clearly assigned.

How activity notifications work

Users can set how many days in advance notifications are shown and whether activities without an appointment are included in the system, which increases flexibility. This feature makes project and time management much easier, reduces the risk of missed deadlines and relieves the team from day-to-day work.

Automatic creation of notifications

Every day (overnight) the Task Scheduler checks due activities against a defined schedule. A notification is generated when:

• a responsible person is assigned
• the activity is not completed
• a title is available
• a deadline has been reached  

Change responsibilities

If the responsible person changes, the system deletes the old notification and creates a new responsible person

System settings

In the system settings, you can use the field "Notification for activities before an appointment (number of days)" to define the time period from when a notification should be triggered. For example, the default time period is "0 days", i.e. on the day the appointment is scheduled.

The option "Notifications for activities without an appointment" specifies whether activities without an appointment date should also be reported.
